Microsoft 365 activates automatically when you sign in to an app with the account that holds your subscription. No extra product key is needed after redemption.

Activate your apps

Open any app

Launch Word, Excel, or PowerPoint.

Accept the license

Read and accept the license agreement if prompted.

Sign in

Sign in with the same Microsoft account you used at microsoft365.com/setup.

Check activation status

Open any app and go to File > Account. Under Product Information, you should see Subscription Product with your plan name.

Manage your devices

Visit account.microsoft.com/services to see your subscription, sign out of devices you no longer use, and share a Family plan with others.
Signing in with a different account than the one that owns the subscription causes an “unlicensed product” message. See Troubleshooting.
