# Sign In and Activate Microsoft 365 on Your Device

> Activate Microsoft 365 by signing in to any app with your Microsoft account, confirm activation status, and manage devices from your account page.

Microsoft 365 activates automatically when you sign in to an app with the account that holds your subscription. No extra product key is needed after redemption.

## Activate your apps

    Launch Word, Excel, or PowerPoint.

  <Step title="Accept the license">
    Read and accept the license agreement if prompted.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in">
    Sign in with the same Microsoft account you used at microsoft365.com/setup.

## Check activation status

Open any app and go to **File** > **Account**. Under **Product Information**, you should see **Subscription Product** with your plan name.

## Manage your devices

Visit [account.microsoft.com/services](https://account.microsoft.com/services) to see your subscription, sign out of devices you no longer use, and share a Family plan with others.
